Navigating Change: Insights from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Friedman

This week, I completed "Thank You for Being Late" by Thomas L. Friedman. Don't be fooled by the title – this book delves deep into the whirlwind of technological changes and offers insights on how to thrive amidst them.

Written in 2016, the book may not be timeless due to the rapid evolution of technology, but it's fascinating to see how many of Friedman's predictions have materialized.

Admittedly, there were moments when the book's age made it a challenge to stay engaged, given the contrast between its context and our current realities. However, I persevered and found valuable lessons in the end.

The key takeaway, steering clear of the confirmation bias we explored through Kahneman, is the undeniable importance of lifelong learning and continuous improvement for individuals, organizations, and societies. Friedman's work underscores a vital truth: the pace of change is unyielding, and the skills and knowledge that brought us success today may not suffice tomorrow.
